Rare pieces for soprano and organ.
Esteban Elizondo is a great promoter of the basque composer's music from the 19th and 20th century, music that is almost totally unknown here. He has already recorded some other CDs for Aeolus with music by basque composers. On this new album he performs together with the young spanish soprano Arantza Ezenarro. Mrs. Ezenarro can be already heard on two other Aeolus recordings.
These are beautiful examples for romantic sacred music form the years around 1900. The organ that was used is a Stoltz-Frères organ (1890). It's recorded here for the first time on CD.
