Very well played and superbly recorded.

Johann Melchior Molter (1696-1765) was born 11 years after Bach and attended the same high school. But he adopted different musical styles, including both the French and especially the Italian. This was because, unlike Bach, he lived in Karlsruhe along the French border and also in Italy (Venice and Rome). Few details of his life are available. His music is more influenced by Vivaldi than by Bach. I don’t particularly like it, but it is very well played and superbly recorded. The notes are good.
