The ensemble enhances the magical atmosphere of their widely acclaimed concerts with engaging introductions to each piece, ensuring that virtuosity serves as a means of connection rather than an end in itself.
Flautando Köln is a regular feature on television and radio, having released nine CDs in collaboration with Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln and Deutschlandfunk. They often welcome special guests, such as countertenor Franz Vitzhum and percussionist Torsten Müller. Notably, during the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, actor Martin Brambach joined them for a series of concerts centered around Martin Luther’s life. Since 2018, they have embarked on a new project with actor Heikko Deutschmann, including a memorable concert for the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen that showcased the music and writings of Kurt Tucholsky.
Invitations to perform at prestigious music festivals worldwide, such as the Schleswig Holstein Festival, Rheingau Festival, and MDR Musiksommer, are a testament to their reputation. Additionally, Flautando Köln has toured extensively through Central America, China, Taiwan, Korea, and various European countries, spreading their musical joy far and wide.
