Born in Halberstadt, the soprano began her musical training at the State High School for Music in Wernigerode.
At the Würzburg University of Music, she initially studied school music and then began vocal studies with Martin Hummel, later with Prof. Monika Bürgener, completing her degree in 2011.
Franziska Bobe draws significant inspiration from her regular work with Sibylla Rubens, as well as from participating in master classes with Margreet Honig, Christian Elsner, and Axel Bauni.
The Würzburg Opera School enabled her to gain her first stage experience through opera productions. Among other roles, she appeared as “Euridice” in Claudio Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo” and took on the role of “Pamina” in a concert performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”
In the field of concert performances, the singer has developed a wide-ranging repertoire that spans from early music to contemporary works. Her current activities as a soloist are characterized by collaborations with renowned conductors such as Frieder Bernius (Georg Friedrich Händel’s “Israel in Egypt”) and Jörg Straube (Claudio Monteverdi’s “Marienvesper”), as well as with ensembles such as the Barockorchester Stuttgart, Stiftsbarock Stuttgart, Concerto Palatino, Musica Alta Ripa, and La Banda.
Since 2012, Franziska Bobe has been a member of the soloist ensemble Stimmkunst, which, as part of the “Bach:Vokal” cycle, performed the complete vocal works of Johann Sebastian Bach at the Stiftskirche in Stuttgart under the musical direction of Kay Johannsen through 2021.
