Maestro Daniel Roth version of Julius Reubke's c minor organ Sonata "The 94th Psalm" (1857) is a milestone in the history of organ music recordings, one of the most dramatic and internalised interpretations of this unique masterpiece. It's the central work of this album which has been awarded the french Diapason d'Or and CHOC du Monde de la Musique. Compositions by Franz Liszt (Symphonic Poem "Orpheus" from 1854, and 4th Consolation) and August Gottfried Ritter's 3rd Organ Sonata in a minor complete this purely romantic recital, recorded on one of the most emblematic 19th century organs in the world.
